Which types of grease traps are the most effective?

Grease Interceptors

Grease traps come in all different sizes to accommodate a wide range of sinks.  You can find large 50 gallon grease traps or smaller residential grease traps depending on where you look.  We highly recommend polyethylene grease interceptors regardless of which size you choose.  Polyethylene grease traps have the best record of trapping grease, oil and other debris and preventing it from accessing your drainage system.  Grease accounts for a large percent of clogged sinks and clogged drains, so an effective grease trap could go a long way in your kitchen!  You should be sure to clean grease traps at least once a week to make sure they perform at their optimal levels.

Grease Trap Sizing

When it comes to grease trap installation, we strongly suggest hiring a professional drain maintenance contractor to get the job done.  Working with a professional drain cleaning contractor will help to ensure that your grease trap sizing services are administered correctly so that you can stop as much grease as possible from entering your drains.  Additionally, every homeowner should schedule an annual drain inspection to make sure everything is ship shape.  Consistent sewer maintenance means less drain repairs and sewer repairs in the future!
